All eyes are on South East Europe (SEE) as it enters a ‘Golden Era’ for its Renewable Energy market development. This region is keen to adhere to International Directives clean energy developments and has created country specific goals to implement Renewables in to the energy mix. There is also a need for SEE to intensify its measures in energy security and independence.
Governments have created attractive incentives to increase the interest of investors and developers in order to create a solid Renewable market in SEE. With only a few obstacles in the way, the SEE Renewable market is set to develop at an unprecedented rate.
As the liberalisation of Turkey’s Energy markets continues, a strong interest from the Private sector has developed. Bulgaria is also experiencing a surge of RES development. High feed in tariffs make for a keen market to invest in; however, regulation must be revised in order for full market deployment of Renewables.
Serbia has a very strong potential to develop its RES market and legislation is being adopted to bring attraction to this market. For this reason Serbia could become a market example for the rest of the Western Balkans to follow.
Join our SEE Renewable 2010 event taking place in Istanbul and enjoy EastEuro Link’s premier annual event for South Eastern Europe. We look forward to hearing from you!
